Description
One of my goals this summer was to capture a bull moose. Most of the time when I capture wildlife, it is usually when I have given up any hope of capturing any. The trip was already considered a bust. When I feel that way and I capture something great (in my mind) I chuckle to myself that God is working very hard to teach me patience and faith. On my paddle up Magalloway River in the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge, it happened again. I had gone into a cove and, as I sometimes do, I told myself how beautiful the scenery was. I spoke to myself and then heard something moving in the woods. I immediately decided I had missed my only chance at a moose. I paddled further up the river towards Umbagog Lake and started stalking some geese. I figured they were better than nothing, right? I have my camera up and I hear a bunch of splashing behind me. It was this guy and his wife and kid. When all was said and done, I was so excited, I was shaking and I squealed like a 12 year-old girl.
