About Jan Mulherin
I am from a very small town in Central Maine. I have been married for over 32 years and have four grown children and four grandchildren. While I love photography, I do not have a lot of time to enjoy it. I work full-time and help with daycare for two of my grandchildren. When I have time, I take full advantage and I am usually gone for an entire day between travel and the photography. For many years, I kayaked in the same three ponds in Litchfield, Maine. About three years ago, I started to get bored. I wanted more. So, I ventured out to other large bodies of water - preferring to kayak on rivers and streams which seemed to provide a variety of wildlife and great sunrise and sunset opportunities. It was not until this summer (2017), that I really started to want to branch out even further traveling two to three hours to put my kayak on some remote bodies of water. I have had a great summer with some great opportunities that I am in hopes others will find appealing. Unfortunately for me, water freezes quickly in Maine, so my kayak season came to an end in November. Now, I am currently snowshoeing around Maine in hopes of capturing the beauty of a Maine winter. I try to blog about my every excursion. While my kayak runs and short hikes may seem mundane, Bella (my Rottweiler) and I find many ways to keep things interesting.
