On this trip, I decided to head up Arethusa Falls. This waterfall is nestled into the southern end of Crawford Notch State Park in Harts Location. Arethusa Falls is regarded by many as the best scenic waterfall in New Hampshire. I decided to head up to the falls via the Bemis Brook Trail. Along this trail, there are a couple of beautiful waterfalls and cascades. This image is of Bemis Brook Falls, the first cascade on the Bemis Brook Trail. This small waterfall is made up of multi-tiered granite slabs and is well worth the extra hiking time to visit.

I am from a very small town in Central Maine. I have been married for over 32 years and have four grown children and four grandchildren. While I love photography, I do not have a lot of time to enjoy it. I work full-time and help with daycare for two of my grandchildren. When I have time, I take full advantage and I am usually gone for an entire day between travel and the photography. For many years, I kayaked in the same three ponds in Litchfield, Maine.
